The organic garden
VIVIR serves only the freshest produce, free of pesticides and other chemicals. Our fresh vegetables are grown in the garden “Viviendo en el Campo”, which is a local project of certified organic and ecological agriculture. Located 20 minutes walk from Vejer, the garden is situated on a hillside sheltered from the east wind (Levante) which can create strong winds in the coastal towns of Cadiz.
An interesting aspect of “Viviendo en el Campo” is the recovery of native seed crops that are lacking in the area
Our gourmet chef
All meals in the program are created and prepared by our gourmet chef, Alberto, who brings his own masterful and creative touches to each of the healthy dishes offered at VIVIR. As the owner of a successful restaurant in Vejer, Alberto is very familiar with locally sourced organic cuisine. His expertise is often shared at culinary conferences, where he gives presentations on the relationship between the environment and food sources.
He has collaborated on projects with top-level regional chefs and hoteliers as well as having several recommendations in the Michelin guide.
All our dishes are carefully planned to take advantage of local seasonal food.
Natural flavours fresh from the garden
At VIVIR, you’ll enjoy seasonal menus focused on healthy, delicious and inspired dishes. Our culinary approach is to use only high quality organic garden fresh ingredients, infusing them with natural flavors. All fruit and vegetables are sourced from small local organic producers. All fish are raised and harvested from a local saltwater estuary under a globally acclaimed sustainable and organic fishing program.

Fresh air and fresh food
At the end of the daily excursions, you will be welcomed by members of the VIVIR team at a designated place with an elegant picnic lunch consisting of a healthy and delicious organic lunch.
The lunch is informal and elegantly rustic, surrounded by nature and the beauty of Andalusia.
